Friendly wait staff, wonderful food, good beer! It is small and loud not packed on a Friday but busy.

oh this place is an absolute gem! i don't see that many Hawaiian restaurants ever. decided to give this place a try and food was really good. service super friendly and price very reasonable. true 'hole in the wall' that's actually good

Still my favorite place to eat. The portions are amazing and the food is delicious. Got the salmon for the first time. O goodness, its the best I've had. The crust on top was magnificent. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Staff has a weird attitude usually, but other than that the food is okay. Mac salad used to be really good, but now it's not very good at all. Khalua park is Meh. Two stars because of how inconsistent it is.

Really good food and in traditional Hawaiian style it's a HUGE portion no matter what you order.

Our first visit and won't be our last. Service was very personable. Food was delicious - we had the chicken teriyaki sandwich and the chicken bbq sandwich. While the sauce looked the same with both sandwiches, the owner came by to tell us how they were each a little different. While we could tell there was a similar base, they tasted entitely different and entirely delicious.We also got desserts to go - a piece of the guava chiffon cake and the PURPLE sweet potato pie. Both were amazing. Looking forward to visiting again.

It was not busy when I stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon.The server greeted me and told me to sit down. I ordered the Kailua Pork Sandwich with greens and mac salad with an Ohana Iced Tea.I received my order in less then fifteen minutes.The pork was mixed with cabbage with a large grilled pineapple on a ciabatta roll.The sandwich had a nice balance of flavors with a little sweetness and a solid pork flavor.The bottom of the bun became soggy and started to fall apart.The tea was not too sweet and had good taste.You may have to park on a side street due to the lack of parking. Friendly service, solid food and a number of desert options make the Ohana Cafe a good choice for Hawaiian food.

Food was good and the fruit punch was excellent the service was a little on the slow side which isn't good if you're on a lunch break. Would have gotten a shaved ice if things were a little quicker. Overall it's good if you don't mind a wait.

Our go to place when we are missing plate lunches on the islands. Kalua pork is wonderful.

Delicious food! Fast and attentive service. The mac salad is good but i also highly recommend substituting the green salad as it is delicious too. The desert menu looks epic. I would definitely come back just to get dessert. The atosphere is casual and homey.

If you like boiled chicken with no flavor then this is your go to place. It took over 15 minutes to get me 3 overcooked and only warm chicken thighs and 2 scoops of rice. The service was friendly but the food was horrible. I am a good cook so my standards may be a bit high but I would think it would be better. Maybe it was just an off day but I will not be back.

Why have I not written a review before?! I've been to this place a total of 4 times already, and I live 5 hours and a country away from this local joint. My family was first introduced to this place around 7 years ago by a Californian friend and we fell in love with their dishes. One night, we were the last ones in the restaurant and the owner stroke up a conversation with us. Turns out, he was familiar with where we lived (5 hours and a country away) and we had a great time talking about what we loved about it. When we were about to leave, he insisted we take an entire sweet potato pie to enjoy! I can never skip up an opportunity to come back for that same pie every time I'm 2 hours around the area. Here's a picture of my attempt at bringing back an entire pie home as proof of my devotion to you, Ohana Hawaiian Cafe!! Thank you to the lady who helped me come up with a safe and portable way of transporting this precious cargo!

When in Portland I always go here for affordable and delish food.

Teriyaki sauce was a bit salty. Definitely a different taste than what you would expect. Shoyu chicken was pretty amazing though

Absolutely incredible food, Lau Lau and Kahlua Pork were incredible. Mac was delicious. Not seen is the Lomi lomi and poi. Everything was just great! New favorite spot! 🤙🏽

The Lau Lau pork is delicious!!! So is the Kahlua pig, the Mac salad, etc.. so glad I got take out here :) I'm definitely going back to try some other items.

Easy to say, one of my favorite local Ha-Y-N spots in Oregon/Washington. Everytime I call its like speaking to my Aunty or Unko. The food is broke da mouth everytime. I also love the cakes and pies so much, we had them make all of our wedding cakes. If you have not eaten there yet, shame on you. No go, stop reading this review, and Google map this buggah right hea. Aloha, mahalo nui loa.

Absolutely 0 indication of hours during covid-19, 1. Store on Sandy has open sign2. Store has normal hours on OFFICIAL WEBSITE3. Store has normal hours AND is listed as open for take out on GOOGLE4. Lazy ownership would rather close all branches then invest in PPE and better sanitization practices/supplies for employees, and take out small business loans to keep employees on payroll, insured, and keep business operational, this kind of management makes me realize why the staff here was always so grumpy to customers

This is the best place to get shave ice in Portland. The service is slow, but it is so worth the wait, and everyone is so friendly the time goes quickly.

Very underwhelming Huli Chicken that had very little flavoring on it. The rice was decent and I liked the Macaroni Salad. My wife liked the Pork a lot. Just avoid the Huli for sure.

Ohana cafe is ono! Super casual Hawaiian fare in the NE. It's not cheap but it's quality and the loco moco and pork kalua are amongst my favorites.

Wonderful service and amazing food! Laura was my server! She is so sweet, happy and very helpful! I'm hooked! Little more in cost but well worth it for sure! It taste like I am back in Hawaii again! I'm going back again!

Best Hawaiian desserts! I love their sweet potato hoopie pie! My absolute favorite and I've ordered 3 full pies to share with friends and family over the last few months because I love them so much. Tried the kaluh pig plate once and spam masubi and it was so mouth watering and delicious. Great service everytime I come in. Its a cute little restaurant with friendly atmosphere. Full pie orders take 2-3 days for them to make so place an order in advance if you want a full pie or just walk in and try a slice! You will not be disappointed!

It's quite good, and the service just couldn't be nicer. That said, you get about the same amount of food, nearly as good for half the cost elsewhere. Still, I'll definitely be coming back if I'm in the hood and want to splurge.

Incredible food with even better service. Enjoyed the classic Hawaiian Koana (sp?) Pig, Macaroni Side, and the salad with a fruity vinaigrette. They also have a pineapple cider on tap that's absolutely to die for and pairs well with most everything on the menu. Will definitely be back here again!

The food is really great and the authentic shave ice is amazing! But the casual (and always cold!!) interior is nothing special. Service is fine, but feels more like a plate lunch spot vs a good dinner spot.

My left overs gotta eat em lol it was only okay because I know of a betta hawaiian spot its wayyy better and prices are fairly less but nice clean seating area love the "bar" seats in view of kitchen- the stove👍🏾😍

We had an unexpected party of 17 and the service was outstanding! All orders were completed correctly and in a timely manner. It was the first time all of us had been here and there wasn't one complaint. The food tasted great and the crew prepared and served it perfect.

I had the teriyaki chicken. Delicious! Island music added to the ambiance.

Loco moco, teri beef, kalua pork, and garlic shrimp were all great... But the Sweet Potato Haupia Pie was AMAZING. Perfect with a cup of Kona coffee.

The food took me back. More food than what we could eat. Laura was the most amazing and sweetest ever. We are so glad we moved up here. We are never going back.
